About the Founder
I'm Jacob, an aerospace engineering student working on real rocket engines. I started EX3D Prints because I wanted high-quality models of the rockets I care about, and I couldn't find the kind I wanted. So I built them.
What EX3D Prints Is
EX3D Prints makes space collectibles, starting with rocket models like the Saturn V and SLS. Each one is made to order and shipped directly to you.
Instead of a factory production line, every order is printed by a real person on their own equipment, then inspected and shipped.
How It Works
Hobbyist makers across the US sign up to print orders using printers they already own.
When you place an order, it's routed to a qualified maker who prints, inspects, and ships it, usually within a few days.
That means no factory overseas, no anonymous production line. Just someone who's actually good at this, making your rocket.
Designers
Every rocket is designed by an independent 3D modeler. AstroDesign 3D designed the Saturn V and SLS models available now, and earns a royalty on every one sold.
Where This Is Going
Right now, EX3D Prints is focused on doing rockets well: quality models, real makers, fast turnaround.
As that grows, more rockets and more designers will join. The system stays the same: real people making real things, not a factory.
